The Accounting and Finance Department at Carthage College isseeking qualified candidates for an Assistant Professor ofAccounting and Finance starting in Fall 2021. The position will bea two-year renewal contract. The individual will be expected toteach undergraduate required and elective accounting courses.Courses will include but not be limited to Financial and ManagerialAccounting, Governmental and Nonprofit Accounting and IntermediateAccounting. Ability to teach Corporate Finance is not required butis a plus. Candidates should have a master’s degree (or higher)from an AACSB accredited institution in Accounting, plus a minimumof five or more years’ relevant work experience. CPA is preferred.Evidence of prior teaching effectiveness in a liberal arts settingis required.Minimum Qualifications: Graduate degree from an AACSB accredited institution inAccounting.Minimum of 5 or more years’ relevant work experience. CPA ispreferred.Evidence of prior teaching effectiveness in a liberal artssetting is required.Knowledge of teaching-learning principles.Effective written and verbal communication abilities.
