The building is in danger of collapsing.Around 200,000 people will be contacted via a direct mail communication that highlights the historical and cultural significance of the inn, and demonstrates the extent of its dilapidation. The appeal will be sent both to existing donors and local National Trust members who may not have responded to fundraising appeals from the charity in the past. The campaign message will be tailored for each audience segment.“Developing members into donors is always a challenge for organisations like the National Trust,” said David Burrows, Head of Fundraising at TDA. “However, the charm and significance of this building is immense, and we believe its story will resonate with local members of the charity and traditional donors alike.”www.tdallp.comPhoto: Rataedl on Flickr.com TDA helps National Trust with urgent appeal for New Inn Howard Lake | 5 January 2010 | Newslast_img read more
